The Colossal Catastrophe

If you ever played Tom and Jerry Action or even better Jerry And Nibbles Adventures than you are already familiar with this type of platformers which usually include mathematical puzzles, logical thinking and teaming up along the way.

In two out of three these games we have Jerry teaming up with Nibbles and only in one with Tom. Having special love-hate relationship between Jerry and Tom in mind, that's not surprising. Jerry probably get along a lot better with his little cousin Nibbles than with Tom. These two brave mice are trying to walk from point A to point B on each level through a maze-like series of platforms, which include all kinds of obstacles, gaps and barriers. Basically all these games prefer logical thinking over jumping and running skills, something we used to see a lot in all previous Tom and Jerry games on this website.

How to play? Controls, Instructions

Jerry walks and jumps with WAD keys, while Nibbles uses arrow keys. Collecting fruits brings points but I am not sure if it's required. When they get to the equation, there's a blue button which increases or dicreases the result figure by one, with each second you spend standing on it. This is how you set the equation's result. By doing so, you get the prize, which is a piece of cheese. Collect all cheese, and you will complete the level. Don't try to jump over big gaps in the ground,, these are too wide for small mice. Instead, use moving cloud as a mid-platform. At the end of each level you will see a purple warp machine. Bring both Jerry and Nibbles to that point and if you did everything else well, you will complete the level. If you can't get through, that means that you have missed something and that you will have to go back and do it properly. Please note that Jerry and Nibbles use different keys for teleporting with elevators ('s' and 'down arrow key').

The twist in the game is that mice have company. Not only you need to worry about obstacles, but there's a cat running around, and not just a cat, but famous Hanna Barbera's Top Cat. If Nibbles stumbles upon him, he will loose a life, but if Jerry jumps on his head first, Top Cat gets fuzzy giving chance to Nibbles to sneak by unharmed.
