Bandit Munchers - Simple Mouse Trap Avoider by Boomerang

Here we are, new game. It's from Boomerang's TV channel and the game's called "Tom and Jerry Bandit Munchers". "Munchers" - I don't know what that means so I had to go and check with google, and when I did it popped up that 'muncher' is a gay person, or at least that's what 'urban dictionary' says. So this is probably not the best title they could have come up with, but that's something probably lost in translation, or at least something that non-native speakers would have doubts about.

So, Tom is up there dropping dangerous stuff while Nibbles is working for you by running around, knocking the food off the shelves so you can catch it.

Controls! Pay attention to this

One of the first things you will probably stumble upon and loose a game in like matter of seconds is that you couldn't figure out how to move Jerry. So, arrow keys don't work, WASD is not working neither, but you need to left click Jerry and hold on to it by simply keeping the mouse click pressed and drag it to the left and right. This is how you move Jerry around. Basically this is a 'drag' by definition but somehow I've managed to miss that so might you too. And when you release the mouse you release the Jerry, but I don't see why you would ever want to do that because moving Jerry is all you need to do. This way with such controls, you basically need to keep the mouse pressed all the time which is completely needles and it only helps your hand gets tired faster.

About the gameplay

Now that we know the controls, let's see the gameplay. You can pick up all kinds of food like a cake, pizza cut, pieces of cheese, strawberries, some green thing which is probably a pudding. But plates are also falling down, very fast, much faster that the food. And there are mouse traps on the floor which are hard to spot because you are looking up for the food falling down, so you can't focus both on traps and the falling food. And basically that's how you get trapped and die. Obviously you don't die by touching a single trap. Instead there's this green fill bar in the top left, which shows you Jerry's health status, with your health getting worse by getting hit with heavy objects or stumbling upon a trap, and on the other hand it increases with you picking up the food, which normally is not happening. Instead, for the most part you will be witnessing a green health bar going rapidly down because the gameplay speeds up very quickly as you play, so it gets really hard to keep up with the food and the traps quite soon.

All in all this is rather short game, one of those addicitve games you would want to play over and over again for better score. It's pretty bad executed, with very basic controls and minimal gameplay but it's the original Boomerang game so the graphics are just phenomenal.
